As canlift.com, we aim to provide an environment where all our members are confident about the security of all their personal and/or corporate information and can protect their privacy. For this purpose, by providing their information to the website, our members fully accept the following principles.

canlift.com reserves the right to suspend, cancel the memberships of its members and delete their information in case of non-compliance with the following requirements of canlift.com.

  1. canlift.com uses the e-mail address provided by the member during the registration process to reach and communicate with the members. The e-mail addresses given to our members are for their personal use only. The username and password given to members are only for personal use of canlift.com services, and canlift.com may not be held responsible for the consequences of its disclosure with third parties.
  2. Only member companies of canlift.com (Corporate Members) may access member information. All of these members can be viewed on the My Interests / Blocked List page.
  3. When a member makes an application (job posting, etc.), s/he discloses his/her entire CV (name, contact information, etc.) to the organization he is applying to.
  4. In order to prevent disclosure, use and reproduction of the member’s information from being used and copied without his/her permission, contact information (address, telephone, e-mail) will not be visible in the CV searches made by the companies. When the company wants to access the member’s contact information, it sends the member a “I want to connect” message. If the member approves, contact information will be immediately disclosed to the company.
  5. The member is responsible for his/her own information and for the amount of information s/he allows to appear in CV searches. The member makes the necessary adjustments in this regard in the update areas that only s/he can access. The person can be active or passive on the site:

Passive membership:  If the person is passive in job search, s/he will not appear in the searches made by the companies.  In this case, the person opens his/her CV (only to the applied company) when s/he applies for a job posting.

Active membership: In order for the member’s CV information to be visible in searches made by member companies, the person’s status must be active. If the CV is active, the member can apply any of the following privacy measures:

My Blocked list:  Members can indicate if there are any companies among canlift.com corporate members to whom they do not share their information. Those listed companies may not see the member’s CV information in CV searches. Newly participating companies are announced on the home page and in various sections of the site. Members can add any of the newly joined companies to their Blocked list at any time.

Name hiding: Members can hide their names in company searches if they wish. In this case, even if their CV information appears in companies’ searches, their names will not appear.

Workplace hiding: Members can hide the names of their current or former workplaces if they wish. In this case, even if their CV information appears in companies’ searches, the company names they selected will not appear.

  1. The member is responsible for the failure to ensure the confidentiality of this information as a result of disclosing the above-mentioned identity, contact and workplace information outside the fields specified on the website (for example, in the “Add your CV” field) and for its possible consequences.
  2. The member can change or delete his/her information recorded on canlift.com at any time.
  3. The member enters only his/her own correct information on the site and does not contain information that could harm the privacy of third parties and organizations.
  4. canlift.com may not be held responsible for the activities and behaviors of individuals or organizations that are members of our system but do not comply with the required confidentiality principles and for their consequences. Member companies can keep a copy of the information they obtain through the site in their own systems / files. canlift.com is not responsible for the activities and behaviors of these organizations before or after the termination of the membership or deletion of the information from the site.

canlift.com is entitled to use the information provided by the members in connection with its own communication and marketing activities, and to share this information in the form of summaries, statistics, etc., provided that it does not violate the confidentiality principles stated above.
